How to deposit to CEX.IO with Skrill

To deposit funds from Skrill to CEX.IO, you first need to make sure that both your Skrill and CEX.IO accounts use the same email address. You cannot make a transfer if the two accounts are registered under different email addresses.

You need to follow a separate set of steps on both CEX.IO and Skrill to complete a currency transfer:

2. Choose the fiat currency you would like to deposit – USD, EUR, or GBP located on the right-hand side of the next page,
3. Enter the amount you would like to deposit,
4. Click on the Skrill button as your deposit payment method,
5. Choose the country where your Skrill account is registered and click Proceed.

You will then receive an email to your inbox with the subject, Successful Deposit Request which gives you instructions to follow on Skrill.

Steps you need to follow on Skrill

1. On your Skrill account, select the Skrill to Skrill option,
2. Enter the provided in the email message (the below recipient email address screenshot is a sample),
3. Enter the exact currency amount that you have entered on the CEX.IO Deposit page,
4. Click Add A Message to request a transfer,
5. Enter the order number in the email message into the Comment section.

Funds will be deposited to your CEX.IO account on the same day that you confirm the transfer.

Please note that Skrill transfers from other parties are not accepted, and only your Skrill account can deposit to your CEX.IO account.

How to buy cryptocurrency on CEX.IO

The easiest way to convert EUR and GBP is to buy the USDT stablecoin, since almost all USD trading pairs also have an available USDT trading pair on CEX.IO. To do that, you need to click on the Fiat tab, which is located on top of the currency pairs menu (boxed in red in the image below).

On the Fiat tab, you need to find the USDT/EUR or USDT/GBP pairs (boxed in blue in the image above) to sell your Euro or Sterling funds to USDT.

To buy cryptocurrency on CEX.IO, you have the option to give either a limit or a market order.

How to buy Bitcoin on CEX.IO

If for example, you would like to buy Bitcoin with USD, you need to click on the USD button on top of the currency pairs menu and find btc to usd pair.

Once you are on the BTC/USD trading page, you need to scroll down and find the Limit and Market tabs. You can choose Market if you would like to buy Bitcoin at the immediately available price. All you need to do is enter the USD amount you want to buy in the USD to Spend field, then press Buy Now.
