Buy Bitcoin with Payeer

Users from select countries can buy Bitcoin with Payeer on CEX.IO by using a Payeer-issued virtual or physical Mastercard. Since there is no direct integration between the Payeer app and CEX.IO, purchases are completed through our Instant Buy service using the linked card.

Alternatively, if you already hold digital assets in your Payeer wallet, you can fund your CEX.IO Wallet by transferring supported cryptocurrencies. As long as the asset is available in your jurisdiction and supported on our platform, you may transfer funds directly from Payeer to CEX.IO, subject to network fees and confirmation times on the blockchain.

Before proceeding, review applicable fees, card limits, and regional availability to determine which method best suits your needs.

What is Payeer?

The Payeer app is a multi-currency e-wallet that allows users to hold, transfer, and exchange both fiat and digital assets within a single account interface. It supports fiat balances in USD, EUR, and RUB, alongside a range of cryptocurrencies and electronic payment systems such as Perfect Money and Advcash.

Within the Payeer wallet, users can store and transact with assets, including:

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Tether (USDT) on TRC20, ERC20, and BEP20 networks
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Dash (DASH)
  • XRP (XRP)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
  • Polkadot (DOT)
  • Dogecoin (DOGE)
  • Binance Coin (BNB)
  • Polygon (MATIC)

The platform enables internal exchanges between supported crypto and fiat balances, with an approximate 0.5% transaction fee. Users can also send and receive funds to and from other Payeer accounts or compatible e-wallet services such as Advcash, Perfect Money, or Cash App, subject to each provider’s terms and applicable fees.

In addition to its wallet functionality, the Payeer app issues both virtual and physical Mastercard cards. These cards can be used for online payments and, where supported, for funding accounts on cryptocurrency platforms.

How does Payeer work?

Generally, Payeer works similarly to other e-wallet solutions like Skrill, Advcash, and CashApp, all of which are available at CEX.IO. You register and verify your account (important if you want to use a card), then deposit funds using your preferred payment method. This can be your bank card or another payment system, such as Perfect Money or Advcash.

You can also send and receive cryptocurrencies to your Payeer wallet, though with additional fees for crypto transactions.

Crypto enthusiasts can use Payeer Mastercard or the app to buy crypto instantly (where integrated) or transfer crypto directly to their exchange wallets, as long as the platform supports those assets.

If you’re new to e-wallets and looking to learn how to use Payeer, it’s good to know there’s plenty of documentation and YouTube tutorials online that can help you understand the setup process, verification requirements, and available features before deciding whether the service aligns with your needs.

Using Payeer with CEX.IO

CEX.IO does not currently offer native integration with the Payeer app, as we do with Google Pay, Apple Pay, or PayPal (for U.S.-based residents only). However, because Payeer issues Mastercard cards, eligible users may use a Payeer virtual or physical Mastercard to purchase supported cryptocurrencies on CEX.IO.

While CEX.IO allows users to buy crypto with a prepaid card, this method can occasionally cause transaction confirmation issues. For this reason, standard Visa or Mastercard debit or credit cards are generally considered more reliable for funding transactions.

Users may also transfer supported cryptocurrencies from their Payeer wallet to a CEX.IO Wallet, provided that the asset is available in their jurisdiction and supported on our platform. Keep in mind that network fees and processing times depend on the blockchain used.

How to Buy Bitcoin at CEX.IO: a Step-by-Step Guide

The most intuitive way to buy Bitcoin with Payeer is through Instant Buy. This route lets you link your Payeer card to the CEX.IO Wallet and purchase crypto near-instantly at the current market rate. Here’s how to get started:

Create an Account

Start by opening an account on CEX.IO. Provide your email address, set a secure password, and select your country of residence. Confirm your email to activate the account.

To access full functionality, complete identity verification. Enter your personal details as requested and upload a valid government-issued ID. In most cases, you will also complete a short selfie check. Verification ensures compliance requirements are met and enables services such as Instant Buy and Spot Trading.

Access Instant Buy

Once you register and verify your identity, you can log in to your CEX.IO account and access Instant Buy. You can find this service under the Buy Cryptocurrency tab on the left-hand side of the dashboard. From there, you need to:

  1. Specify the fiat currency you want to use for your BTC purchase. Supported currencies include USD and EUR. You can also select GBP, in which case your EUR or USD funds will be converted, subject to a fee.
  2. Enter the amount of fiat you would like to spend. You will see the corresponding amount of crypto you receive, along with the applicable fees.
  3. Choose BTC from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click Buy Crypto Instantly

Add Your Payeer Card

You’ll be redirected to our Add Funds page. Click Select Payment Method and choose credit/debit card. Next, enter your Payeer card details, including card numberexpiration date, and CVV

Here, you can also choose other payment methods. Depending on your country, you may buy crypto with Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller.

Receive BTC in Your Wallet

After you confirm the transaction and it is successfully processed, your purchased Bitcoin (BTC) will be credited to your CEX.IO Wallet. You can view your updated balance by navigating to the Wallet section of your dashboard.

From there, you may:

  • Hold your BTC in your CEX.IO Wallet.
  • Transfer it to an external wallet address.
  • Exchange it for other supported cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies, where available.

Processing times for card transactions are typically near-instant, though they may vary depending on your card issuer and standard security checks.

Payeer transfer fees and limits

When using the Payeer app, fees and limits depend on the type of transaction you perform, the asset involved, and the payment method selected.

As we mentioned earlier, for internal exchanges between fiat and cryptocurrency balances, Payeer states a conversion fee of approximately 0.5% per transaction. This applies when exchanging supported assets within the Payeer wallet interface.

For crypto transfers, you can expect additional blockchain network fees, which can vary depending on:

  • The cryptocurrency being sent.
  • The blockchain network selected (e.g., TRC20 vs. ERC20 for USDT).
  • Current network congestion.

Furthermore, when using a Payeer-issued Mastercard (physical or virtual) to fund a crypto purchase on CEX.IO, standard card processing fees and limits apply on our platform:

VISA:

  • Deposit limits: $20.00 — Unlimited
  • Instant Buy limits: $20.00 — $50,000.00
  • Fee: 0.49% — 4.99% + service charge

Mastercard:

  • Deposit limits: $20.00 — Unlimited
  • Instant Buy limits: $20.00 — $2,500.00
  • Fee: 0.49% — 4.99% + service charge

Keep in mind that prepaid cards may be subject to additional issuer restrictions or transaction confirmation checks, so we advise you to use a physical Payeer card whenever possible.

If you are transferring cryptocurrency from your Payeer wallet to CEX.IO, the minimum withdrawal amount and network fees will depend on the specific asset. For example:

  • BTC (Bitcoin): 0.0001 / 0.0002 / 0.00009
  • XRP (XRP): 0.001 / 1.5 / 0.25
  • LTC (Litecoin): 0.03 / 0.05 / 0.02

These values may represent minimum transfer amounts, network fees, or processing thresholds, depending on the transaction type. Always review the final fee and amount before confirming any transfer.

As fee structures and limits can change, we recommend that you check the latest terms directly within the Payeer app and your CEX.IO account before initiating a transaction. You can also check all potential costs on our comprehensive limits and commissions page.

What other payment methods can be used to buy Bitcoin?

In addition to virtual and physical cards, you can also buy crypto with Google Pay and Apple Pay e-wallets. You can access these through Instant Buy, just as you would with your Payeer card. If supported, you may link your Payeer card to these e-wallets and use them to fund purchases at CEX.IO. If not, you can link any other Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card instead.

Speaking of availability, U.S.-based users can buy crypto with PayPal. This method is available only to customers in the United States, similar to ACH transfers. However, unlike PayPal, which allows U.S.-based users to buy crypto near-instantly, ACH transfers are used to fund your account with USD first. After that, you can exchange those funds for crypto through Spot Trading or Instant Buy.

For privacy-conscious users, we also support cash deposits. You can buy Bitcoin with MoneyGram by depositing cash at participating locations. This method is not as fast or straightforward as using Payeer cards or e-wallets, but it may offer greater comfort for users who prefer not to share financial details online.

In most Payeer review discussions, the service is generally described as functional and widely used within the e-wallet space. As with any financial platform, safety depends on account verification, security settings, and responsible usage. We encourage users to review Payeer’s terms, fee structure, and security practices before completing any transactions.

If your Payeer account is verified and you have sufficient funds available, you can buy Bitcoin with Payeer on CEX.IO using a Mastercard issued by the service. You can also research fees and commissions for alternative payment methods to compare available routes before proceeding.

Acceptance varies by country and provider, so availability depends on local regulations and individual platform policies.
