How to Buy Ethereum (ETH) with PayPal on CEX.IO

CEX.IO empowers customers to acquire digital assets using numerous payment methods. Here’s how to get started making crypto purchases with PayPal on CEX.IO:

  • Complete identity verification on CEX.IO to get access to PayPal transactions.
  • Determine if PayPal is available as a funding method in your region. At this time, PayPal is only accessible for U.S. residents.
  • PayPal accounts must be linked to CEX.IO before buying crypto. Only one (1) account may be linked at a time.

How to link a PayPal account to CEX.IO

Eligible customers can link their PayPal accounts via both CEX.IO App, and/or the CEX.IO Wallet page. Let’s use the web experience as an example for this guide. 

  • Go to the CEX.IO Wallet dashboard, and switch to the Account Manager tab.
  • Click PayPal in the menu of available payment methods.
  • Log in to your PayPal account to link it.

How to purchase Ethereum (ETH) via PayPal

On CEX.IO, PayPal can be used for crypto purchases via the Instant Buy service. This feature empowers users to buy Ethereum with a credit card and other payment methods rapidly and hassle-free. 

To utilize Instant Buy on the CEX.IO website, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Instant Buy page.
  • Choose ETH from the list of supported assets.
  • Select a preferred fiat currency.
  • Pick a predefined pack or specify the desired amount to purchase/spend, and click Buy to access the next screen. 
  • Navigate to the Select payment method field, and choose PayPal.
  • Сlick Log in with PayPal, and enter the linked account credentials.
  • Select PayPal as a payment method once again, and click Buy with PayPal.
  • Specify what funding method to use in your PayPal account, and confirm the transaction. 

Once done, the purchased amount of ETH will appear in the Ethereum wallet. From there, users can check the current Ethereum price, convert ETH to other available assets, transfer ETH to an external wallet, and/or sell Ethereum and withdraw fiat funds via a preferred payment method.
